Donald Swartz

Donald Swartz, age 87 of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born on May 9, 1939, in Green Springs, Ohio.

Donald enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with his family and his friends who knew him as “Bucky.” He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a cook.

He is survived by his children Mark Swartz, Marcia Travis, and Melvin (Rhonda) Swartz; his grandchildren William Debo III, Travis, Mariah, and Cody; his brother Robert Swartz; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Swartz and his parents Leroy Swartz and Viola Baker.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Ave E., Mansfield. Services will take place and 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
