Donna J (Young) Rock

Donna J. (Young) Rock, 88, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

Donna was born on March 17, 1933, in Mansfield, to Ernest J. and Catherine (Wynn) Young.  She was a member of Peoples Baptist Church and she loved her church family. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, watching hummingbirds as well as other birds, playing bingo, and watching TV. She also loved her cat, Midnight.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Kimberly) Rock of Mansfield, Rodney Rock of North Carolina, Terry Rock of Columbus, John Rock of Columbus, Marcella Ambrosio of Tampa, FL, and Harold Young II of Des Moine, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, John Rock; parents; sons, Richard Craig and Fred Craig; and brothers, Norman Young and Charles Young.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Peoples Baptist Church, 223 Vanderbilt Rd, Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the church with Pastor James Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
