Donnie L. Spillman

Donnie L. Spillman, age 69, of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at UH Samaritan in Ashland following a long illness. He was born on March 14, 1957, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Donnie and Jessie G. (Ratliff) Spillman.

Donnie was a Mansfield High School graduate and worked as a car salesman for Hall’s Auto Sales. He married Denise M. Howard on June 5, 1976, and they were getting ready to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. Donnie liked to fish, play pool, and garden and loved to always give everyone a hard time.

He is survived by his wife Denise Spillman; his children Christina (Jeff) Vanderpool and Donnie L. Spillman II; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Cottrell; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild who is due in July; his four siblings; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donnie and Jessie Spillman; one son Jay Hoover Spillman; and one sibling.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield.
