Douglas R. Smith

Douglas R. Smith, age 72 of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on February 15, 1953, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Ernest and Gaythel F. (Belcher) Smith.

Doug worked as a truck driver for most of his life, but in his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, riding motorcycles, and working on cars. He also loved spending time with his beloved dog, Harley.

He is survived by his significant other Shirley Magers; his son Rusty Smith; his stepchildren Jason Gerhart, Stacy Price, Jennifer Ebeling, and Jessica Cyrus; his siblings Mary Smith, Butch Smith, Brenda Smith, Joe Smith, and Tony Smith; and many extended family members.

Per Doug’s wishes, no formal services will be observed.
