Dwight E. Moore

Dwight E. Moore, 88, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, at his home.

Dwight was born March 17, 1936, in Canton, Ohio, the son of Olin F. and Mabel (Walters) Moore. He was a member of Oakland Lutheran Church in Mansfield. Dwight retired in 1997 from General Motors in Ontario, where he had worked as a tool and die maker for forty years. He was a proud member of the UAW Local 549. Dwight loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping,

Dwight is survived by four children, Dennis Moore of Mansfield, Cindy Moore of Athens, Max Moore of Mansfield, and Karl (Kathy) Moore of Crestline; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one stepsister, Becky Moore-Grant of Champaign, IL.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, Olin and Mabel Moore; his stepmother, Jean Moore; his beloved wife of 50 years, Dolores Moore; and one brother, Merle Moore.

Per his wishes, no services will be held. Dwight will be interred next to his beloved wife, Dolores, in Mansfield Memorial Park.

Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, is assisting the family with arrangements.
