Elizabeth "Marjean" Viars

Elizabeth “Marjean” Viars, age 67 of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 14, 1959, in Mansfield to the late Charles E. and Janet L. (Smith) Young, and on September 26, 1986, she married the love of her life, Louis Viars.

Marjean was a homemaker who greatly enjoyed caring for her family. She loved her children and her husband dearly, and she lit up whenever they were around. She loved cooking, especially experimenting with new recipes with her son, and she enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Berlin. She loved Amish country.

She was the best mother, grandmother, and wife, and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband Louis Viars; her children Charles Viars and Janet (Jerry Harper) Cole; her stepdaughter Anna Viars; her brother Kenny Young; her grandchildren Aspen Viars, Emilliey Cole, and Daniel Cole; and two great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Janet Young.

No formal services will be observed.
