Elmon Elias Freeman, Jr., 72, of Mansfield, Ohio, born January 16, 1948, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020.
Elmon proudly served the Army in Vietnam Era. He enjoyed working all his life, and retired from 30 years at Ohio Brass and Mansfield Foundary. He continued working with Richland Renovations. Elmon enjoyed his time making memoires and going on adventures with his kids and grandkids.
Preceding him in death is his mother, Helen (Diehm) Rannigan; father, Elmon Freeman, Sr.; brother, Conrad Freeman; and two uncles, Chester Freeman and William Freeman.
He left behind Bessie, his soulmate for life; his loving children, Jasma (Greg) Schoonyan, Nick Freeman, and Zachary Freeman; his pride and joys, grandchildren, Shyanna Schoonyan (Corwin), Khloe Schoonyan, Elayna Schoonyan, and Kaiden; one sister, Floann Freeman; brothers, Ray Freeman, Billy Rannigan, Ray Rannigan; also many nieces and nephews.
He knows that he will be loved and missed always.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Graveside services will immediately follow at Mansfield Cemetery in the military section with full military honors performed by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
