Frederick S. Wolff

Frederick S. Wolff, 94, of Mansfield passed away March 26, 2015 at Ohio Health Med Central Mansfield Hospital. Frederick was born on March 30, 1920 in Cleveland to Adam W. and Trilby B.(Ledgett) Wolff. Frederick was a veteran of the Air Force serving his country during World War II. Frederick worked as a carpenter and went on to work as a Registered Animal Tech and dog groomer most of his life. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, bird watching and had a love of animals, especially dogs. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16th. Frederick married the love of his life Ethel M. Zimmerman on February 13, 1942. Frederick is survived by his wife, Ethel Wolff; three sons; Ronald (Susan)Wolff, of Morgan, Utah; Thomas Charles (Glenda) Wolff, of The Villages, Florida; Randy (Judy) Wolff of Mt. Vernon; one daughter; Sandy (Dave) Brown of Butler and is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, William Wolff. Calling hours will be from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield and funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 with Pastor Robert Stull officiating of Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park. Military Honors will be conducted by Richland County Joint Veterans.
