Gary R. Branham, II, age 38, of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
He was born on June 10, 1986, at Shelby Hospital to Gary R. and Kimberly (Smith) Branham. Gary worked at Richland New Hope, and he was an avid player in the Special Olympics. He enjoyed bowling, baseball, and basketball. He went on to work at Walmart. He moved to Zanesville in 2023 with his girlfriend, Ashley Shirley and has a 1-year-old little boy, Tyler. He also has 2 boys from a previous relationship, Grayson and Carsyn, who live with their mother.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Virginia Smith and Clifton and Imogene Branham; as well as his uncles, Luther and Ed Branham and Tom Smith. He was also preceded by his good friend from the Special Olympics, Jimmy “Shorty.”
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Kim Branham; his three children Tyler, Grayson, and Carsyn; his brothers, Corey and Jesse Branham; his sisters, Rhonda Branham and Sarah (Kevin) Danals; and his nieces and nephews, Tiffani, Brittany, Myah, Mackenzie, Kaden, Kyler, Jackson, Colt, Rhett, Sorriah, Serenity, and a nephew due in March. He also had numerous friends and best friends, Corey and Zack Wallace. He was friends with everyone he met, and he will be dearly missed.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
