Gearold “Jerry” D. Davis, age 84 of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at his home following a long illness. He was born June 5, 1942, in Mansfield, to the late Delbert W. and Helen M. (Mitchell) Davis.
Jerry served his country in the U. S. Army and National Guard. He married his beloved wife, Twila Fay (Kissell) on June 5, 1971. They spent 54 wonderful years together until her passing on March 9, 2026. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, doing puzzles, and going on car rides. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jerry was known for “winning” at board games, Dominos, and card games which he liked to play with anyone.
He is survived by his children Mark Davis, John (Melanie) Davis, Tonya Carroll, and Tiffany (Aaron) Snipes; his siblings Jim Davis, Marlene Christine, and Judy Nussbaum; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife, Twila Davis, Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Helen Davis; and two brothers Ronnie Davis and Terry Davis.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Memorial services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
