Guadalupe Guardiola, aka "Poncho Lupe", 83, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.Guadalupe was born on December 10, 1934, in Maxwell, TX, to Martin and Barbara G. (Gutierrez) Guardiola. He was a man of faith and loved to go to church. The most recent church that he attended was Diamond Hills Baptist Church. He was a very loveable person with a very persistent personality. He loved his family and loved his grandchildren very much. Guadalupe was very supportive of his children when they were young, and always attended their sporting events, as well as being a great dad. He loved to be around people, and enjoyed just getting out of the house. He also had a special love for Mexican music.He is survived by his children, Devin Guardiola and Julie Chavez of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Troy Anthony Guardiola, Alicia Guardiola, Alexis Konves, Santana Konves, and Joie Rose; and nieces, nephews and friends.Guadalupe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 47 years, Beverly (Ferguson) Guardiola; his son, Troy Guardiola; and two siblings, Cecilia Guardiola, and Julia Zuniga.Calling hours will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH.
