Harry W. Herritt, 72, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
Harry was born on November 8, 1948, in Butler, to Henry L. and Anna M. (Ohler) Herritt. He was a graduate of Ontario High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was married to his sweetheart, Beverly (Miller) Herritt, for 26 years, and she passed away on May 1, 2018. Harry loved his family, especially his great-grandchildren. The last two years, he had been very sociable, and enjoyed being with his buddies at the club. He also loved to tinker around the house and fix things.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Cole; grandson, Melvin (Vanessa) Rister; great-grandchildren, Riley and Breanna; siblings, Terry Fliger, Paul Brown, and Barb Webb; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife, Beverly, Harry was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Kenny L. Herritt and Henry L. Herritt.
Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery with full military honors performed by the Richland Co. Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
