Heather Jo Thompson

Heather Jo Thompson, age 50, of Mansfield unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2026. She was born on February 25, 1976, in Mansfield to David Sr and Susan (Stimens) Thompson.

Heather loved going on fun-filled adventures, spending time with family and friends, cooking and planning celebrations, making every event feel special. She lived life with a vibrant spirit and a love for togetherness. A woman who never met a stranger, family and friends were her greatest joy. She was a loving and proud sister, mother, partner, aunt, mee-maw and friend.

She is survived by her partner, Jay Hollar of Mansfield; son, Blake McWilliams of Mansfield; daughters, Destany (Tim) Hale and Ariel Burkey of Mansfield; bonus children, Tabi Nightengale (Zack, Alex, AJ, and Rocky), Colton Hollar and Austyn Hollar of Mansfield, Kamren Burkey of Hampton, VA, Elvis Burkey Jr of North Robinson and Teyler Burkey of Delaware; nieces, Kymberly Stanley (EJ) Lucas, Savannah and Aubrie; nephew, Jordan Thompson of Mansfield; four wonderful grandbabies, Kinzleigh Jo, Lakelynn (Buggy), Remi Sue and Tucker (TJ) Hale all of Mansfield; stepsister, Betty (Harriger) Stevens of Mansfield; best friends, Peggy Sue of Indiana and Amanda Stimens of Fredericktown; sister-in-law Denise Miller; along with many other loving friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her loving father and mother, David Sr and Susan (Stimens) Thompson; and followed in death by her brother, David Thompson Jr.

Private services will be held for immediate family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
