Helen J. Knipp, 83, of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
Helen was born August 20, 1939, in Hillsboro, Texas to Robert Alton and Esther Jewell (Curry) Mamada Fink. She was married to Alfred Franklin Knipp and worked in the Income Tax Industry and as a cashier at Meijer. Helen attended both Avenue Church and Belmont Community Church. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, crocheting, playing Bingo, and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Helen is survived by six children, Cathy Jo (Rick) Taylor of San Diego, CA, Diane Long of TX, Ron (Lori) Long of Mt. Vernon, David Long, Mark (Heather) Knipp of Mansfield, and Bill (Barb) Knipp of Mansfield; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cathy Graham.
Along with her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Michael Fink, Donald Lee Fink, and Robert Alton Fink who passed away in the Korean War; two sisters, Joevelyn Fink Davis and Rochelle Fink Kelley; and two brothers-in-law, Scot Davis and Jim Graham.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Hank Webb officiating. Burial will be in Lantz Cemetery, Mansfield.
