Helen E. Reip

Helen E. Reip, age 75 of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born on June 7, 1950, in Mansfield to the late Jack and Melba (Zellner) Metzger.

Helen worked for Therm-O-Disc for 29 years, and she was a member of their bowling league during her time there. During her youth, she also enjoyed her time as a lifeguard at the pool. She was an avid Coca-Cola lover and cook, and her family fondly remembers her sauerkraut balls and homemade Mounds bars. She loved the pool, the beach, and gardening.

She is survived by her sons Matthew Reip and Thomas “TJ” Reip; her grandchildren Makenna Reip, Zoey Reip, Tytus Reip, and Bronson Frost; and her sisters June Howell and Pam French.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Melba Metzger and her sister Hope Owens.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
