Howard Bernard Harvey

Howard Bernard Harvey, age 87 of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was born on November 16, 1937, son of the late James and Edna (Osborne) Harvey.

Howard graduated from Lucas High School in 1955, and in 1965, he graduated from Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, Michigan, with a Bachelor of Education. In September 1967, he was ordained as a Baptist minister at Mansfield Baptist Temple.

In August 1966, he moved to Coshocton, Ohio, and started the Coshocton Baptist Temple, which is now Victory Baptist Church. He was there until 1975. From then to the present, he has done Evangelist work.

Howard is survived by two brothers, Joe (Linda) Harvey, Dave (Sharon) Harvey; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carline on December 7, 2023, and his son Matthew on December 20, 1969. Also preceding him in death were 7 brothers and an infant sister.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 12:00 a.m., to 1:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will take place at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Lucas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Christian School.
