James A. Barrett, Jr., 52, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, February 8, 2021.

James was born on December 30, 1968, in Mansfield, to James A. Sr. and Anna Ruth (Salyers) Barrett. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing.

Along with his father, James Barrett, Sr.; he is survived by his children, Brittany (Jeffery) Barker of Ashland, Lacy Barrett and James (Andrew) Barrett, both of Mansfield; grandchildren, Paityn Barker, Braisyn Barker, Kinzley Barker, Haizley Barker, Nevaeh Huffman, Lannden Stamper, and Amarianna Barrett; sister, Lisa Barrett of Mansfield; and niece, Nicole Howard of Ashland.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Ruth Barrett; uncle, Clyde Salyers; and his grandparents.

The family will have memorial services at a later date.
