James M. Lewis

James M. Lewis, 68, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

James was born on November 13, 1952, in Mansfield, to James E. and Lavonna R. (Cox) Lewis. He retired from Golden Hawk Trucking after over 20 years of employment. James enjoyed being with his family. He also liked to work in his garage, tinkering around making things, racing and fishing.

He is survived by his girlfriend of 26 years, Sandra Blanton of Mansfield; children, Tracey Lambert of Mansfield and Ashley Lewis of Ashland; ten grandchildren including special granddaughter, Lana; siblings including twin sister, Janet Roseberry, Mark (Charlene) Lewis, Bobby (Teia) Lewis, Randee Moore, Kevin Lewis, and Robyn (Randy) Tobolt; and many nieces and nephews, including special niece, Jerica and special great-nephew, Taylor.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lavonna Lewis; and brother, Scott Lewis.

Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
