James E. White, 81, of Mansfield, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
James was born February 20, 1940 in Barrett, WV to Bradford and Leona E. (Workman) White. He worked as a coal miner and loved listening to music, watching the Cleveland Indians, and working on vehicles. His favorite movie was “Coal Miner’s Daughter” and he watched it often.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Linda Kay Paulo of Mansfield; step-grandsons, Todd (Amanda) Kauffman of Arkansas, and Ross Kauffman (Jill Howell) of Mansfield; several step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold Dean (Sue) White, Frances (Sam) Kinkade and Delores Parson, all of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 27 years, June (Hastings) White, who passed away on July 14, 2014; two brothers; and two sisters.
Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
