Jeannette Marie Metcalf saw her Savior face-to-face on Thursday, June 25, 2026. She was 78 years old.
After graduating from Madison High School in 1966, she attended Mansfield Business College, then began her 40-year bookkeeping/office assistant career.
Jeannette gave a home to many dogs and cats in her life and was happiest when she was with them. She owned her own home for over 40 years and just recently moved to Silver Birch of Mansfield. She loved the staff, the residents, the activities, the meals shared with new friends, and her apartment. She definitely smiled a lot there.
Jeannette is survived by her sisters Marge Whitehead and Susie (Leroy) Kiner; nephews and nieces Tom (Shannon Chang) Schrack, Michele (Ed) Newmeyer, Lisa (Viroj Padyandorn) Kiner, and Jon (Priya Narayanan) Kiner; great-niece Sarah Schrack; and very special friends Tom and Linda Gano and Renate Papenhausen.
She was predeceased by her parents Roger and Mary Margaret “Maggie” Metcalf and her brother-in-law Wayne Whitehead.
A private service is planned.
