Jeffrey Meredith Obituary

Jeffrey L. Meredith, age 76 of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born to the late Noland and Marjorie Meredith on August 12, 1949, in Mansfield, Ohio.

Jeff was a member of Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He began his working career at the age of 12 doing various maintenance duties, cleaning carpets, and mowing grass for Morgan Cleaners. In 1966, while a Senior at Madison High School, he started his career with the Mansfield Telephone Company which would last 33 years in various positions of Outside Plant Engineering and Construction and Internal Auditing, culminating in his retirement from Sprint in 1999. He was President of the Ohio Utilities Protection Service and Buckeye State Locating and also had an 11-year career with Henkels and McCoy Construction.

He loved spending time with his family, especially Tiffany, Michaela, Llilian and Xxavyor, Lannden, Amarianna, and Jr. He had a passion for anything that had to do with water, boating, skiing, swimming, scuba diving, and jet skiing. For a number of years, during the summer he lived at his camper at Bayshore Campgrounds in Sandusky, Ohio, along with his faithful companion, Herbert.

Jeff was a firm believer in his Christian faith and communicated frequently with the Lord through daily devotions and was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his daughter Tiffany (James) Barrett; granddaughter Michaela Au; and grandchildren Llilian and Xxavyor, Lannden, Amarianna, and Jr. He is also survived by his sister Debra K. Isherwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and lifelong friend Rita Dodson, and his most recent wife Becky Meredith, along with his grandmother Virginia Meredith Tarillion.

Consistent with Jeff’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
