Jeffrey Allan Paluga, Sr. of Galion, Ohio, 63, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at his home after a battle with leukemia.
He was born on September 25, 1956 in Galion, the son of the late Phillip and Anna Paluga. He loved working hard and making life as fun as he could. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and his Budweiser Beer… enough to raise a Clydesdale himself.
Jeff was a man of many trades. He worked as a maintenance man for many years and could fix about anything. He worked at Galion Dresser and most recently IB Tech in Bucyrus, Ohio. He was told by many at the James Cancer Center that he was their favorite and one of the strongest and hardest working patients they ever had.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Fern Paluga; son, Jeffrey Paluga, Jr.; daughters, Laura Garrett and Julia (Phillip) Riggs; two step-sons, Mel Knetter and Mikel Knetter; his dog, Duke; his brother, Phillip Paluga; sister, Phyllis (King) Culp; grandchildren, Josie Caton, Ethan Garrett, Olivia Garrett; and new great-grandchild, Bexley Jo Bernard. He is also survived by many friends, including his best friends, Bill Wolford and Ronnie Wicker.
Jeff’s favorite quotes were “It’s a dog eat dog world” and “I love you man”. He will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ohio State James Comprehensive Cancer Center at: https://cancer.osu.edu/for-donors-and-volunteers/how-to-donate/donate-to-a-special-fund
