Jennifer K. (Johnson) Sims

Jennifer K. (Johnson) Sims, 68, of Mansfield, departed this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Jennifer was born on February 26, 1952 in Mansfield to AJ and Mattie Lee  (Hall) Johnson.  She loved her children and her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed attending church, was a very hard worker, and loved to volunteer her time helping others.  She loved socializing and visiting, and enjoyed fishing, working on crossword puzzles, and playing cards and board games.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Mary (Warren) Fitzpatrick; her children, Sara  (Larry) Abrams and Ulysseus Sims Jr., both of Mansfield and Nathaniel Woods and Phillip Woods, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Gregory Johnson, Tanjeya Williams, Jeron Williams, Travis Abrams, and Austin Abrams; great-granddaughter, Celeste Wilcoxson; and numerous nephews, nieces, and great friends.

Jennifer was preceded in departure by her parents; brother, Timothy Johnson; and grandson, Ulysseus Sims III.

Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Elder Michael Rudolph officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
