Jerry E. Caton

Jerry E. Caton, 53, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, of natural causes.

Jerry was born on March 24, 1967, in Mansfield, to Dale E. and Helen M. (Albright) Caton. He was a 1989 graduate of Newhope School and worked for Newhope Industries for many years. Jerry was in the Boy Scouts, Troup 123, and participated in the Special Olympics. He was an avid Ohio State University Buckeye football fan and avid Mansfield Tygers fan. He also enjoyed Nascar and especially loved to go fishing with his dad.

He is survived by his siblings, Daniel Caton of Florida, Linda Jackson of Mansfield, and Mary Caton of Martinsville; and nieces and nephews, Angela Rose of Wilmington, Anthony Atkinson of Sabina, Christopher Jackson of Mansfield, and Jamie Caton of Wilmington.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; step-brother, Roger Dugger; and sister, Barbara Eiklor.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
