John David Harris, 83, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He worked at many manufacturers including Pittsburg Plate Glass in Mt. Vernon, MTD in Willard, Westinghouse and Tappan in Mansfield.
John was born on September 16, 1941, in Mount Vernon, the son of Lloyd J. and Opal Marie (Davis) Harris.
He loved watching football especially Cleveland Browns and Ohio State. He enjoyed camping for many years, traveling to Utah and Florida in winter. He loved playing euchre and karaoke. He loved listening to his Pastor Ray Lasalle of Bucyrus Nazarene Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Craig) Lewis of Mansfield, sisters; Wilba Tischner of Salt Lake City, UT and Pam Robison of Vernal, UT, two grandchildren; Chloe (fiancée Charles Myer) Lewis and Clayton Lewis and two stepsons; Steve Irvin of Brooksville, FL and John Irvin of Columbus, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Betty Dixon and Kathy DeMarco, brothers-in-laws Rudy DeMarco, Jay Tishner and Roger Robison.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 26 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD, where services will be held at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
