John Robert McCallister

John Robert McCallister, 74, of Lucas, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

John was born on February 2, 1946, in Kenton, OH, to John R. and Beatrice E. (Dyer) McCallister. He was an avid horse racing and Nascar fan, and enjoyed his flower garden.

He is survived by sons, Justin John Richard “Jay” McCallister of Warren, and Joshua David McCallister of Cortland; step children, Jody (David Clinedinst) Hollar and James (Sara Robertson) Hollar; grandchildren, Jacob (Ash) Knight, Evan McCallister, and Hailey McCallister; great-granddaughter, Skylar Knight, step-grandchildren, Zachary Clinedinst, Isaiah Clinedinst, Mason Hollar, and Michael Thompson; sister, Sandra (Carl) Russ of Stevensville, Montana; and his wife, Judy Jamison.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1595 Grace Street, Mansfield with Pastor Mike Mack.

Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield, is handling the arrangements.
