John Sparks Obituary
John R. Sparks, 62, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021.
John was born October 21, 1959, in Vanceburg, KY to Morton C. and Ada M. (McGlothin) Sparks. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ginseng hunting.
He is survived by his children, Lucas “Luke” Mauk and Ashley Mauk; grandchildren, Lydia, Tori, Santanna, Seleena, and Sysson; and siblings, Irene Buttler, Naoma Rayborn, Helen Kegley, Betty Spring, Linda Gregory, Shirley Horsley, and Sandy Mauk.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Russell Sparks, Ramona Scaggs, Louise Bandagski, Alberta Cogar, Peggy Nolan, and Audrey Lunsford.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021, at Paradise Church, 87 N. Illinois Avenue, Mansfield, with Pastor Jay Hill officiating.
