“Juanita” Wanita M. (Boterf) Stichler Mitchell, 88, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
Juanita was born February 28, 1933, in Caledonia, to William V. and Ida L. (Nashley) Boterf. She was a member of Ridgeway Church of God. Over the years, Wanita worked for Westinghouse, R.C. Fairgrounds, and AAA; she was also a volunteer at the fairgrounds. She enjoyed being a tour guide and traveling, as well as quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas H. Michell; sons, Michael (Lowella) Stichler of Shenandoah, Brian (Debbie) Stichler of Ashland, and James (Kalyn) Stichler of Mansfield; grandchildren, Timothy (Melissa) Stichler, Joseph (Melanie) Stichler, Angie (Marcus) Derr, Josh (Tara) Stichler, Breanne (Ryan) Rohloff, and Sean Stichler; great-grandchildren, Ethan Stichler, Collin Stichler, Noah Stichler, Abigail Stichler, Tristan Derr, and Isla Derr.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Stichler; and siblings.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Dodds officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Park, Lexington.
