Judy D. (Elliott) Hurst

Judy D. (Elliott) Hurst, 78, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Judy was born February 25, 1943, in Mansfield, to James and Bessie (Roseberry) Elliott.  She retired from R.C. Auto Title after over 20 years of employment. Judy loved her family; her grandchildren were very special to her and she made Christmas extra special for them. Judy loved canvas stitching and would buy her supplies at her favorite store, Pat Catan’s. She was very close to her mom; they enjoyed garage sales and would be out shopping every Saturday morning. She was an excellent cook and baker; her family especially loved her peanut butter fudge and buckeyes.

She is survived by her children, Robert “Bucky” Wymer of North Ridgeville, OH, Tamara Smith of Mansfield, Jeff (Dawn) Wymer of South Lyon, MI, and Shawn Hurst of Columbus; grandchildren, Amanda Wymer, Robert (Megan) Wilson, Jamie Smith, Joshua Smith, Caitlyn (Steve) Haburne, Mitchell (Allyson) Wymer, and Jacob Wymer; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Alyssa Hanson, Jayden Bogner, Ryanna Wilson, and Kennedy and Monroe Haburne; and sister, Shirley (Bob) White of Mansfield.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bessie Elliott; daughter-in-law, Donna Wymer; and son-in-law, James “Norman” Smith.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
