June K. (Barber) Russell

June K. (Barber) Russell, 85, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

June was born February 8, 1936, in Vinton County, Ohio, to James W. and Edna C. (Canode) Barber.  She was employed at Midland Ross for a number of years. She was an excellent cook and  loved her grandchildren. They were her biggest joy, and for many years, there were Sunday dinners at her house.  She also enjoyed listening to old Southern Gospel Music, admiring her Snoopy collection, and caring for the neighborhood cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Wilson of Mansfield; daughter-in-law, Sharon Russell; grandchildren, Crystal Habegger, Misty (Ryan) Prosser, Craig (Annett) Foust, Nathan Russell, Zachary Russell, and Emily Russell; great-grandchildren, Austin Foust, Dalton Habegger, Cody Foust, Jackson Foust, Kaleb Prosser, and Zayne Prosser; siblings, John Barber and Jean Hartz; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Snuggles.

June was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edna Barber; husband, Thomas J. Russell; son, Bill Russell; and siblings, Clovis Barber, James Barber, Vernon Barber, Jerry Barber, Margie Smith, Marilyn Rinehart, Dixie Hilliard, and Audrey Lewis.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Mansfield Memorial Park with Chad Berry officiating.

Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, is handling the arrangements.
