Kerry L. Sprunger

Kerry L. Sprunger, 76, of Ontario, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Kerry was born on April 14, 1945 in Mansfield to the late Russell C. and Ida C. (Kelly) Sprunger.  He was an entrepreneur who started many successful businesses in Mansfield and Florida.  He was generous to anyone in need and loved his family dearly.  He enjoyed racing of all kinds, fishing, and working.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lorie (Kidd) Sprunger; son, Brian (Melonie) Sprunger of Delaware; and granddaughter, Taylor Sprunger and Hunter Stewart of Westerville; sister, Susan (Chuck) Rice of Florida; sister-in-law, Pat (Swisher) Sprunger and her daughter, Dawn (Sprunger) and John Crosswhite, all of Shelby; sister-in-law, Erla (Tim) McGurren of East Liverpool; and many nephews and nieces.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Sprunger and Jim Sprunger; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Robert Backensto.

A private memorial service will be held on June 13, 2021.
