Lanney Seals Obituary

Lanny D. Seals Sr, 62, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Lanny was born on March 18, 1958, in Trenton, Michigan, to Omer Seals and Shirley A. (Hardison) Seals. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed racing, working on cars and working in the garage, and listening to music. Lanny was a jokestyer; always making others laugh. He married Cheryl L. (Crider) Seals, and she survives.

Along with Cheryl, he is survived by his children, Lanny Seals Jr and Shannon (Edward) Fowler, both of Butler; grandchildren, Levi Fowler, Kaleb Fowler, Paige Fowler, and Baylee Fowler; siblings, Sherrie Sullivan, Pamela Futrell, and Danny Seals; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lanny was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Charles Bates; son, Joshua Dwayne Seals; and siblings, Calvin Seals, Jennifer Hutchison, Mike Seals, and Debra Starling.

The family will be celebrating Lanny’s life at a later date. Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield, is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
