Lenabelle “Linda” A. (Lough) Hertzler

Lenabelle “Linda” A. (Lough) Hertzler, 85, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 following a long illness.

Linda was born March 6, 1935 in Grabill, Indiana, the daughter of Milton Bernis and Odessa Pearl (Collins) Lough. She graduated in 1953 from the Ohio Soldier’s and Sailors’ Orphans’ Home.  She married Felix “Gil” Hertzler on November 21, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2014. 

Linda was also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter-in-law, Pam Hertzler.  Linda was the last to pass of her eight sisters and her three brothers.

Linda is survived by three sons, Steven B. Hertzler, Mark S. Hertzler, and Scott G. Hertzler, all of Mansfield; and four grandchildren, Miranda (Jason) Miller of Lancaster, Justin (Kristen) Hertzler of Mansfield and their two children, Abigail and Logan Hertzler, Benjamin (Michelle) Hertzler of California, and their daughter, Alexis Hertzler, and Nicholas Hertzler of Lexington.

Over the years, Linda worked as a secretary, hearing aid professional, babysitter out of her home, and stay at home mom.  Linda enjoyed her family; she was a member of the Mansfield Baptist Temple over 45 years. She enjoyed reading, playing a variety of table games, puzzles and puzzle books, cooking, sewing, and her old black and white TV shows.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020,  at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020, with Pastor Rob Kurtz officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Park.

Wearing of a face mask would be appreciated.
