Lois Jean (Grayson) Boyd, 83, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Lois was born on October 30, 1937, in Adams County, Ohio, to William J. and Nancy P. (Hobbs) Grayson. She was a homemaker most of her life with a few odd jobs here and there. She loved her family dearly and thanked God for them daily. She truly loved going to garage sales and thrift stores for a nice bargain or unique gift for a loved one.
Later in life she finally discovered the joy and peace of a real relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. An excerpt from her journal on Christmas Eve 2018 says, “I love each day now, I finally got a life! Love it! Love it! Love it! I am free. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! God is so good to me!” Now she is home and able to forever thank and praise her heavenly Father and Savior.
She is survived by her children, Jonathan (Rebecca) Boyd of Pensacola, FL and William (Beth) Boyd of Mansfield; grandchildren, Elizabeth Baughman, Kyle Boyd, Jackie Springer, Jacob Boyd and Megan Boyd; great-grandchildren, Austin Barber, Isaac Barber, Ben Barber, Millie Boyd, Coraline Springer, Lucy Boyd and Grayson Boyd.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Joe” Boyd.
A celebration of life will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield.
