Lonnie Spears

Lonnie Spears, 64, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, following a short illness.

Lonnie was born on February 24, 1959, in Inez, KY, to Edgar and Carmelee (Ward) Spears. Lonnie previously was employed as a laborer.   He enjoyed being around his family and his friends.

He is survived by his son, Josh (Amanda) Spears of Wooster and their children, Sophia, Cassius, and Sadie; daughter, Amber of Texas and her three children; siblings, Robert (Oma) Spears of Butler, Hubert (Garnet) Spears of Mansfield, Lowell Spears of Mansfield, Lisa (Richard) Smith of Fredericktown, and Lori Tolliver of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Spears and Charles Spears; and grandparents, Byrd and Oma Spears and Walt and Clara Ward.

Calling hours will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Earl Tackett officiating.
