M. Wolfe Obituary

M. Irene (Applegate) Wolfe, 82, of Galion, and formerly of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

Irene was born on November 23, 1938, in Vanceburg, Kentucky, to Rev. Charles O. and Dorothy R. (Cooley) Applegate. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Ontario; and prior to her illness, she was active in her church and enjoyed cooking and baking.

She is survived by daughter, Connie Walcot of Prescot Valley,AZ; grandchildren, Heather, Jeremy, James, Crystal, Jill, and Josh; many great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Wendy) Applegate of Findlay, Thom “Thommy” Applegate of Marion, Delores (David) Lester of North Carolina, and Trecy McCleese of Frankfort, KY; daughter-in-law, Deb Spurlock; and close friends, Sandra Hardy and Lori Fourman.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank “Frankie” Wolfe; two sons, Sherrill “JR” Spurlock and Allen and his wife, Angela Spurlock; and sisters, Pam Ferrell and Janet Branham.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at First Wesleyan Church, 1908 Park Ave. West, Ontario.
