Marvin W. Shores

Marvin W. Shores, 64, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, following a lengthy illness.

Marvin was born on November 16, 1955, in Mansfield, to Arthur W. and Gloria A. (Bealer) Shores.  He enjoyed music and playing his guitar.  Marvin was a big fan of the old classical rock bands, like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Foreigner, and others.  He also enjoyed art.

He is survived by his father, Arthur Shores of Mansfield; children, Jimi Allan (Suzanne) Shores of Friendsville, TN and Madeline Marie Rome of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Zachary Rayos, Zackery Rome, Ryelee Rome, Angelina Blankenship, and Harper Viers; and two sisters, Melinda Spade and Penny Summers, both of Mansfield.

Marvin was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Shores; and brother, Steven Bryan Shores.

Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert J. Kurtz officiating.  Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home, to assist the family with expenses.
