Marvin "Marty" W. Lewis

Marvin “Marty” W. Lewis, 59, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, after fighting a short, hard battle with cancer.     

Marty was born on September 13, 1963, in Shelby, to Marvin C. and Barbara A. (Davis) Lewis.  He attended Belmont Community Church and was self-employed. Marty was married to his sweetheart, Lisa (Hawkins) Lewis for 20 years. He loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He enjoyed painting, eating sweets, playing bingo, and drinking coffee.

Along with his wife, Lisa, he is survived by his children, Lenny (Amanda) Lewis, Marvin “Marty” Lewis, Jr., Lucinda “Cindy” Hardin, Krystina (Chris) Borror-Lewis, Megan (Dallas) Lewis, Marlisa “Marley” Lewis, Chance Lewis, Savannah Lewis, Derrick Lewis, and Wayland Lewis; stepson, Steven Brown; many grandchildren, including a special bond with Cooper and Zayden; and siblings, Mike (Lisa) Lewis, Lenny Lewis, and Daphne (Rob) Rees.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Denny Lewis; and grandson, Emery Lewis.

Calling hours will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Hank Webb officiating.
