Mary Phyllis (Buskirk) Dean

Mary Phyllis (Buskirk) Dean, 81, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Mary was born on December 22, 1941, in Inez, Martin County, Kentucky. She is survived by two children, Jerry L. Dean II and Cindy (Steve) Oliver; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Bob Buskirk.

Mary went to Sandusky Nursing School at the age of 42. She began her career as a nurse and worked at Mifflin Care from 2000 until her retirement. She was a member of Paradise Freewill Baptist Church and recently attended Apostolic House of Prayer. She loved bluegrass music!

Mary was preceded in death by her first child, Jerry L. Dean Jr; brothers, Ting, Bill, Warnie, John L., Jim, and Tom; and sisters, Monica, Edna, Corrine, Una Faye, and Ruth.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Zellner officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Franklin Cemetery.
