Mary A Sutherland

Mary A. Sutherland, 72, of Shelby and formerly of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Mary was born on January 27, 1952, in Mansfield, to Robert and Doris (Adkins) Durfee.  She was an active member of Walker Lake Baptist Church. Mary loved her family, her church, and she enjoyed gardening and volunteer work.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Laurie) Sutherland, Melissa (Mel Barber) Turner, and Christy Sutherland, all of Mansfield; grandchildren, Dustin (Bethany) Sutherland, Jesse (Reanna) Sutherland, Johnathon (Kayla) Turner, Brittany (Jake) West, and Cooper Leather; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces nephews and cousins, with whom she dearly loved.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Sutherland; and eight siblings.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Walker Lake Baptist Church, 1602 Walker Lake Rd, Mansfield. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery.
