Michael Dean Ray

Michael Dean Ray, 40, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Michael was born August 29, 1984, in Mansfield, the son of Emmett Wayne Ray and Amie LeeAnn (Martin) Gillam. He worked for Jay Plastics and liked to fish and work on cars.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Jayden Ray; mother and stepfather, Amie and David Gillam of Mansfield; sister, Peggy Ray of Jeromesville; brother, James Ray (Jody Ratliff) of Bucyrus; two stepsisters, Elizabeth Hollinger of Mansfield and Rachel Gillam of TN; maternal grandfather, Ed (Virginia) Martin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Ray; maternal grandmother, Nancy Martin; maternal great-grandmother, Sylvia Rutan; and paternal grandmother, Edna Ray

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2024, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Les Farley officiating.
