Milton F. Calame, 71, of Ashland, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, following a five year battle with cancer.
Milton was born on October 14, 1948 in Lodi, to Henry A. and Hariette E. (Searl) Calame. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army, during Vietnam. He married his sweetheart, Rebecca (Lindsay) Calame on September 7, 1968. Milton farmed for many years, working for Pfister Farms and McClintock Dairy, and retiring from K&L Tool and Die. He loved farming and enjoyed the outdoors, and also enjoyed making wooden farm tractor replicas. Summer time was fair time and he loved to watch the tractor pulls. He mostly loved spending time with his family and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Lindsay) Calame; his children, David (Leslie) Calame and April Calame; siblings, his twin sister, Midge (Mike) Rowlett and brother, Tim (Luann) Calame; grandchildren, DJ (Liz) Calame, Dane Calame, Emma Finley, and Hayden Mapes; great-grandchildren, Jace Calame and one due in September; and Henry Calame, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Harry Calame.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Rosi C. Ranch, 1325 Fleming Falls, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the ranch with Tony Colace officiating. Burial will be at Windsor Cemetery.
Masks are currently mandated for Richland County and social distancing will be practiced. Masks will be available at the ranch.
