Nancy Cole, age 79 of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at her home. She was born on July 13, 1945, in Mansfield to the late Everett and Edith (Pierce) Lee, and on July 19, 1961, she married the love of her life, Wade R. Cole.
Nancy worked as the head cook for the Head Start Program for 10 years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and watching game shows, and she especially loved playing games with her great-grandchildren. She was a woman who always had a smile on her face that made you feel warm and loved. She loved her family so much, and they remember that she was very good at giving advice to all in a kind and loving way.
She is survived by her husband Wade R. Cole; her sons Wade W. (Tracy) Cole of Bucyrus, Brian (Katie) Cole of Ashland, James (Jordan) Cole of Mansfield, and David (Rachel) Cole of Mansfield; her daughters Debbie (Sonny) Owens of Shelby, Tami Bond of Mansfield, and Lisa (Bill) Back of Shiloh; her brothers Frank (Jenny) Lee, Robert (Darlene) Lee, Bill (Patty) Lee, and Paul (Denise) Lee; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Edith Lee, her brother James Lee, and her sister-in-law Jenny.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park.
