Nancy “Hank” Deschner Martin passed away on December 14, 2021, after a short illness of pneumonia. She was 87 years old. She has 2 surviving daughters Donna Berggren of Crestline, OH and Judy Williams of Lucas, Oh, 7 grandchildren Mauri Smith, Mindy Wymer, Eric Berggren, Kyle Berrgren, Christopher Heinberger, Matthew Williams, Daniel Williams, 16 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Sister Mattie Pickens and many close family members to include but not limited to Debrorah Ells, Steven McAllister, Patricia McAllister Brame, Terrance and Sonya McAllister and Kim Lynch.
Nancy was born in Saltville, Virginia spending most of her adult life in Mansfield, Oh. She had many business adventures most known for the original proprietor of Deschners Pizza, The Hair Affair and The Chatterbox. Her many hobbies included painting, cake decorating, bowling, bingo, traveling and gardening. After retirement weather permitting, spring to fall she was in the follower or garden bed many hours of the day. If summarizing someone’s life in 2 short paragraphs is all that is left, then may I add the love and compassion that she gave and showed to those that knew her including all the beloved pets she had over the many years and “Princess” her surviving Miniature Australian Shepard.
