Nancy J. (Holcomb) Thomas

Nancy J. (Holcomb) Thomas, 84, of Lucas, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Nancy was born on November 30, 1936, in Fola, West Virginia, to Laken O. and Mildred (Jeffers) Holcomb.  Nancy loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.  She enjoyed making cookies and candy, canning, gardening, sewing, and quilting.  She married her sweetheart, David Thomas, on February 7, 1970, and he survives.

Along with her husband, David, she is survived by her children, Vicki (Bob) Sands, Robin (Harold) Yeager, and Troy (Teresa) Thomas, all of Mansfield, and Becky (Rusty) King of Galion; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren with two on the way; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Gwinn Osborne of Bickmore, WV, Carol Flora of Montgomery, WV, Sue (Richard) Clement of Harahan, LA, and Rachel (David) Duff of Elkview, WV; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Sandy) Thomas of Ashland, Melinda Thomas of Perrysville, and Bobbi Thomas of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law; first husband, Robert Reams; sister, Lorrene Salisbury; nephew, Randy Salisbury; niece, Kim Thomas; and five brothers-in-law.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dallas Waggle officiating. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mifflin Fire Department, 2326 St. Rt. 430, Mansfield, Ohio 44903.
