Phyllis Jean Dunkle went home to be with our Lord on December 31, 2018.Born on January 18, 1937, she was the daughter of Ralph and Edith Young of Zanesville, Ohio, married 60 years to Rev. Franklin M. Dunkle.Her passion in life was serving our Lord as a mother, pastor's wife, and her favorite pastime on earth, being with children. She was a beloved mother of four children, Deborah Schaffer, Deanna Mecurio, Jeffrey Dunkle and Ronnie Bankes. Phyllis had nine grandchildren, Sean Mecurio, Destan and Devin Schaffer, Peter, Mary Kaitlyn, Benjamin, Lauryn and Nicholas Dunkle, and Angie Bankes. She had five great-grandchildren, Arianna, Aiden, Bella, Marina and Phoebe.Phyllis was a joy to be around, always cheerful and happy, and always had a way of making people laugh with her.She is greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Memory eternal!Calling hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Sts. Constantine & Hellen Greek Orthodox Church, 265 W. 3rd Street, Mansfield, OH 44903. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Father Michael Ellis officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Park in Lexington, Ohio.
