Phyllis J. (Keith) Peyton-Ohler, 95, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Phyllis was born November 10, 1928, in Crestline, to Roy and Virgie (Ballinger) Keith. She was a member of McElroy Road Church of Christ. Even though she thought of sewing as a “hobby”, Phyllis was an accomplished seamstress, having created wedding dresses, among many other beautiful clothing items. She also spent many hours doing alterations for many people including wedding dresses. Along with her talent in sewing, she also mastered cake decorating, which included wedding cakes.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Jane Peyton of Lucas; daughter-in-law, Penny Peyton of Mansfield; son-in-law, Scott Kelly of Mansfield; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Sally Stoller of Arizona.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lloyd Peyton; her second husband, Edd Ohler; and two children, Jane Kelly and Tom Peyton.
A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Lucas Community Center, 252 W. Main Street, Lucas, Ohio 44843. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Mansfield Cemetery.
