Richard L. Conley Sr, age 66, of Mansfield, died Thursday, January 14, 2022, at Ohio Health Mansfield, of a long illness.
Richard was born in Mansfield on January 17, 1955. His parents were Lundy Conley and Odessa L. (Curry) Conley. He had four brothers, Jim Curry and his wife, Lois Curry, Lundy B. Conley Jr and his wife, Mary Conley, Paul Conley, and Timothy Conley; his half-sister, Ruth Binion; and two brothers-in-law, Ron Robson and David Robson.
He was married to his wife, Pamela K (Robson) Conley for forty-five years. He had two sons, Timothy A. Robson, and daughter-in-law, Shelly Robson; grandsons, Connar, Dustan, Aaron, Zack Craig, and Evan Wayne.
Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved his family very much, and loved to go fishing, hunting, cars, country music, religious music and hymns. He also loved to make people laugh. His friends at Shelly and Sands Mansfield Asphalt Paving, where he worked for 28 years, were his buddies, and he cared for them and helped them in any way. Richard loved the Lord with all his heart. He was close to his uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews, and his brother, L.B. They helped each other over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lundy and Odessa Conley; two half-brothers, Tom Conley and Hobart Conley; baby brother, Timothy Conley; son, Richie L. Conley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard L. and Wilma J. Robson; sister-in-law, Debra K. Robson, and niece, Keisha L. Robson.
Calling hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Earl Tackett officiating. Burial will be at Springmill Cemetery. RC Joint Veterans Burial Detail will be performing Military Honors.
