Richard P. West I

Richard P. West I, 77, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Richard was born on September 25, 1942, in Mansfield, to Robert J. and Betty B. (Rider) West.  He was married to Jackie (Kurbad) West for 44 years.  Richard enjoyed watching racing, Cleveland sports teams, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and especially watching his grandsons play sports.  He loved his family and food and reading westerns.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; children, Deanna (Jeremy) Taylor, Rick (Elena) West, Rich (Karen) West, and Sandy Logan; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Roberta West, Dennis (Shelly) West, Luann West, Vickie West, and Katie West.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Tracey Whiting; and his daughter, Laura Sutter.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2020 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
