Richard "Dick" Raymond Trease, Sr., 85, of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 28, 2024.
Richard was born October 6, 1939, in Mansfield, the son of Harley G. and Frances M. (Marsh) Trease. He worked as a parts manager for Joyce Buick and won five overseas trips through his hard work there. Richard was a member of Diamond Hills Baptist Church and enjoyed his church family. He loved gardening and flowers and oversaw the flowers at McIntosh Condos when he and his wife lived there. When able, he loved to travel, go to car shows, look at old cars, and do jigsaw puzzles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanie I. (McDanel) Trease of Mansfield; three children, Becky (Will) Newland of Ostrander, Buddy (Lynn) Trease, and Ryan Trease both of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Taylor (Ryan) Stoner and Clark and Ella Newland; several step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Rowan Stoner; and one sister, Geraldine Brandt of Mansfield.
Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by eight siblings, Carl Trease, Charles Trease, Vernon Trease, Al Trease, Herschel Trease, Carty Trease, Amy Harris Fox, and Marcine Kuth; and two stepchildren, Tom Hull and Cathy Hull.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at Diamond Hills Baptist Church, 647 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Chris Thomas officiating. Private burial will be in Bellville Cemetery, Bellville, OH.
